NEW BUSINESS COURSES

CERTIFICATE III IN DISABILITY WORK (CHC30302)

The course has been designed to provide training for staff in community care and residential care facilities.  Prerequisite: Cert III in Aged Care Work. Credit Transfer will be given for most Units of Competency. A copy of your Cert III Aged Care Certificate and academic transcript will be required.  Information sheet available.

CERTIFICATE III IN MICRO BUSINESS (BSB30307)

A micro business is any enterprise which employs 1-5 workers.  They can be home-based
businesses, family operated businesses, independent contractors, professionals working
from home, franchises, or even businesses run solely on the internet.    This full qualification will ensure you have the knowledge necessary to investigate micro business opportunities, comply with your regulatory, taxation and insurance requirements, and organise finances to support the business.  It will also provide training in delivering service to customers, handling customer complaints and using information technology in a micro business setting.  Information sheet available.

bookkeeping

Gain an overview of manual bookkeeping skills: general journal and general ledger, trial balance, profit and loss statements, balance sheets and bank reconciliations. This is the course to do before attempting any computerised accounting programs. Aligned to Unit: BSBFIA301A Maintain financial records.

CERTIFICATE IV IN FRONTLINE MANAGEMENT (BSB40807)

This accredited course will provide participants with a formal, nationally recognised qualification.  This qualification is directed at acknowledging the skills and expertise of first line of managers and supervisors in the workplace, and applies to a wide range of industries and organisational types.  Information sheet available.

1 day a month over 12 months commencing Wednesday 21 October.  Fee: $1450

 

 

CONFLICT RESOLUTION

If you are a leader of a team, business owner or team member who struggles with conflict in the workplace then this is the course for you. Identify what causes conflict, how to manage a difficult situation and develop assertive communication techniques. Aligned to Unit: BSBWOR401A Establish effective workplace relationships.

TRAFFIC CONTROL – YELLOW CARD - Introduction to Traffic Control at Worksites

Pre requisite: Current OHS Greencard.  This course is for any person who may be required to set up and work with Traffic Control Plans (TCP) issued by a supervisor or line manager, these may include RTA Staff, RTA Contractors, and NSW local council staff working on state funded roads.  Note it does not qualify staff to select or modify existing TCPs.  Course by ATAC.

TRAFFIC CONTROL – RED CARD - Worksite Planning

Pre Requisite: None.  This course is for staff that has the responsibility to select and make slight modifications to existing Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) to suit work locations.  Note this does not allow participants to design and audit TCPs on road construction sites.

INTRODUCTION TO MIDDLE EASTERN DRUMMING

Presented by teacher & performer of Middle Eastern drumming Geoff Field, this introductory course covers: What to look & listen for when buying a drum, importance of good posture, co-ordination exercises, attaining the essentials of good technique. Learning to play some of the most-heard & best-loved Middle Eastern drum rhythms, a great activity for all ages. No prior experience in music or drumming required.

EFFECTIVE BEHAVIOUR MANAGEMENT FOR THE UNDER 5’s

Come along and learn an effective commonsense child and parent friendly approach to behaviour management. This course is for both the new parent as well as the more experienced who just needs some support. Occasionally as parents we require reassurance that we are on the right track.

SINGING –SMALL GROUP SINGING
