CHAINSAW – Fell Small Trees

The course covers the requirements of felling of small trees in an environment where there are only low risk hazards. It covers the assessment of conditions and surroundings in the area where the tree is to be felled. The course also covers the cleanup of the area and following of safe working procedures. The felling is performed under strict supervision. The course also covers aspects and theory regarding team felling. Competency will be demonstrated during the course includes some theoretical work.  Unit:  RTC2005A Fell small trees from RTF03 Training Package.  Prerequisite:  Must have completed: Operate and maintain chainsaws (RTC2304A)

CHEMICAL USERS

If using herbicides and pesticides is part of your job or business you must be accredited.  This certificate is valid for 5 years.  Units: RTC1701A Follow basic chemical safety rules, RTC2706A Apply chemicals under supervision, RTC3704A Prepare and apply chemicals, RTC3705A Transport, handle and store chemicals from RTF03 Training Package.

CHEMICAL REFRESHER

This course is to train persons in the requirements of AS2865-2001 (Safe working in confined spaces) and covers all aspects of working safely in confined spaces and safety equipment used. Pre-requisite: Must hold a current OH&S Green Card and First Aid Certificate. Unit BCCCM2009B Work in confined spaces, from BCC03 Training PackageRefreshers need only to attend the 2nd day.

HEIGHT SAFETY AWARENESS

For all employees who are required to work at heights, this course covers the safety requirements, responsibilities and use of equipment when working at heights as required by WorkCover. Part 1 The code of practice of safe working on roofs (Commercial & Industrial Buildings). Part 2 Residential buildings. Covering the practical applications of the harnesses & fall arrest systems including the pendulum affect & rescue results.
